Kim Fauth

“ABCD Quilting Trunk Show”

When Kim came up with the ABCD technique, she shared it with her Monday quilting group.  They encouraged her to write a book because the technique was so new and different.  Her background in teaching is evident throughout her book.  The directions are in white, gray and black with areas of emphasis in blue.  Each step is broken down with accurate drawings and hints to make sewing easier.  Then the designing and creativity begins!

Suzi Parron

“Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement”

Suzi’s talk will take you on a journey along the quilt trail, beginning with the very first barn quilt, which stemmed from Donna Sue Groves and her wish to honor her mother’s quilting art.  The presentation features over 100 stunning photos of barn quilts, some of which rival cloth quilts in their intricacy.  You’ll hear stories of some of the individuals who have painted quilt blocks to honor loved ones or their local culture, along with a few humorous anecdotes.

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017    12:45 pm – 4:45 pm

FEE: $35

“Barn Quilt Painting”

Join the barn quilt movement by creating your own painted quilt block.  You will begin with a pre-primed board and go through each step – drafting, taping, and painting, with careful attention to detail.  You will leave with a finished quilt block or with one last color to add at home.  Ready for show and tell at your next meeting!  Supply List
