The Guild participates with the Comal County Habitat for Humanity by providing a quilt made by members’ loving hands to families when their new home is dedicated.

Guild members donate 9 Patch blocks, sew, bind, and quilt the quilt.  A label is attached showing who made the quilt and for whom.

According to Tom Troll, Executive Director of the Comal County Habitat for Humanity, “The quilt is the most intimate gift the family receives and truly conveys the love we have for one another.

Guild members presented the Velazquez family, at left, of New Braunfels their quit during the house blessing in May.

Home is where the heart is.  The look in a family’s eyes when they see the quilt puts a smile on everyone’s face and makes our heart sing.
